Summer School @ Capo Caccia

Posted by jaronliu on May 29, 2009

Its really nice to be able to go for conferences at super nice location. Capo Caccia is a small village in Sardegna and the waters there are really spectecular. End May is perhaps the best season to be there – warm but yet quiet without crowds! We stayed at Hotel Capo Caccia – the rooms are so so but food is pretty good, loads of fish/meat everyday.

Anyhow, the summer school was great – got to learn quite abit of T-cells, B-cells, and DCs. I think the best part of the school was interaction. Talking to the profs and tutors over meals, while walking, over a pint of beer, or at the beach is pretty cool. Interactions with students was perfect too, I had great fun meeting with Germans, Spanish, Czech Repulic, Italians (of course), SGers (10 of them!), Norwegians, Swedish, French, and many more. There was like 27 countries or so…
