Same Old Brand New Me

Hi all, been missing in blogging action for quite some time. Anyhow, i’m still as whiny as ever. This will be a long post as I’m going to bridge the old blog and this blog and filling up all the missing data…
1. After Upenn EAS446 module…
Our team, Verena, did a great job for the final presentation, and I got my only A in Upenn. After 446, it was totally all fun and play and heck of Upenn EAS448 classes, projects, assignments. Also, many frens came over for visit and pl, our head of household, even got together with one of them! I became a peon too according to viclance’s terminology. Since this was towards the end of the overseas program, there was massive travelling to many many places like west coast area, yosemite national park, grand canyon, and japan. 2. Back in Singapore…
As always, all good things must come to an end. The overseas stint was eventually over, so totally miss the good old times, miss E611 family and miss ncbv6 gatherings. I was back to sg around mid july and its a pity that I came back a little too late and missed my dearest pharmacy class 2006 D&D and commencement. Anyhow, I continued my studies with new classmates, so no more fa/mbs/cp/cs/tt/yx/tat/jm/tau/sg/fr/cyn/ssj, really miss the good old times with them. Lucikly, new classmates are quite nice, my lecture and lunch mate was pl most of the time, gossip mates were hy/jiat/wl/cy, lab and project mates were ll/yh/mr. Check the pics of my new classmates.
3. FYP Project…
Year 4 was really tough, had to juggle both research and theory work. Anyhow, I did my at Astar/BTI/EE2 and my project was on improving recombinant protein production. Life was pretty good there, mainly because the lab group members are frenly and funny, we always joke alot in the lab. I especially love lab meetings and lab lunch when we gather together. Project went on pretty okie, got some minor positive results, now only hope can get A for the project! I’m still waiting for raymond, my lab buddy, to send me the group pics. 4. After the final exams…
Finally, after much slogging, the final exams are over. I dunnoe why this sem I did extremely bad, always could not think of the answers and could not complete the paper in time. Anyhow, I just hope I can get B or more. Things that I am doing after exams includes mass formatting of 4 old/slow/p3 computers for my dad/mum/sis/em sis using the old school method of xp setup cd/windows update which is really slow and tedious. Think I should go figure out how to use cloning software like ghost/acronis one of these days. I also played tennis with a few pharmacy peeps and its cool cos they are beginners like me! Finally, I am also trying to catch up with several serials and movies which frens have introduced to me.
5. What am I going to do…
Right now, nothing is confirmed. Thinking of further studies, student status is like better, got discounts, cheaper healthcare, got rebates, etc. I have applied for 2 scholarships and now waiting for news. If no scholarship then I am considering between pharmaceutical drugs sales rep job or get my pre-reg license with guardian. In any case, I guess just hope for the best, things should finalized by end of this month I guess.
6. Who I want to meet…
- Ncbv 6 people. Initially wanted to organise a chalet to gather just like the times in philly when everyone gather at E611. However, timing seems bad and everyone’s schedule cannot fit everyone. Fortunately, our head of household pl successfully organised a dinner outing and manage to catch up with raj/jt/mel dood/yz/iris/phebe/lionel. Yz, like hy/ll, is going for lonza biologics training program in new hampshire, quite cool I think. Check the pics.
- Army mates. Miss the bonding session with jerms and patn. Really need to get jerms out of his shell and go for supper one day. Need to meet up with fa and viclance soon too.
- Pharmacy Class 2006 frens. A ktv gathering will be cool!
- Jc Frens. Last time zs used to organise a swim session every holiday but ever since graduation, no more swim liao. Need to meet up with ade to congrats her on her marriage!
- Dunearn Frens. Dunnoe if phang will organise a class outing soon.
